 Running With The Pack Trucking
February 02, 2002.

We are a family run business since the 20's when my great grandparents came here from Italy. We are located in Westbrook Maine, right outside Portland. The name of our company is Running With The Pack Trucking and my father hauls hot top in the summer time with his 81 Mack R-700 that we completely restored over a period of 3 long years, and in the winter he hires out to construction outfits and hauls dirt. This autocar will be my first truck, I am 18 now and will be working for my father this summer with it. We'll buy a trailer dump and I'll hopefully get to haul sand or stone to feed some of the local hot top plants in the area. My father and I do all of our own work, except major engine work and things that need special tools or big presses. The pictures were taken on Dec. 28th 2001 when we first got the truck in the yard. The specs on the truck are as follows. 425 air to air cat. 8LL tranny. and 44 rockwell rears on hendrickson. 12 front. dual aluminum tanks, 3/8" deep single frame, crimson interior loaded, it's the special edition truck. 2 way wet line.

My father and I are Autocar fanatics. He's owned 5 Autocars. From 1974 and up.  Above are pics of our newest Autocar addition to the family business. It's a 87 ATF64B. It has a 425 Cat 8LL 44 rears on Hendrickson, 12 front. We are going to buy a trailer dump and I'm going to be driving it this summer. I just got my class A permit this week and will be practicing in our other truck while I'm fixing up my A'Car. I'll post some pics of it when the restoration is complete, I know it isn't the old style, but it's the last year for the good style trucks.

The pictures show it the day we got it in the yard. the 28th of December. I've already got the interior stripped and started doing body work on the upper cab corners where it's rotted. The last picture shows you the garage that all the madness, I mean work gets done. I have more pictures of it if you would like to see them and I'm also going to be taking more and more as I do more work. Also, if you would like, I can try to get all the pics that I have of our older trucks on the computer for you to see, we had some nice nice Autocars, no junk. Thanks again and hope to hear from you.

Even if an Autocar is sitting at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, it is not junk.
