AUTOCARS OVERSEAS

Hello from Alabama. Attached is a
photo of my dad and the Autocar U7144T that he drove during WWII. It is
pulling a refer trailer. This photo was made in Manila Philippines prior to
September 1945. Dad was in the US Army 40th Division. He was a refrigeration
mechanic and truck driver. He participated in the Luzon and Southern
Philippines campaigns. I thought you might like this old photo. Dad was an avid
photographer. This photo was in with some other photo's he brought back with
him. I know pics like these are scarce. The 40th Division was transferred to
Seoul Korea in September 1945 for occupation duty. I have another pic of the
same truck made in Korea. If you want it I'll have to send it in a separate
e-mail.
Thanks
David Cash

Here is the other pic of the Autocar
U7144T in Korea 1945.

Here are a couple of pictures of the Autocar U-8144-T that my father drove
during WWII. He was in the 5th Army, mostly in Italy. They dubbed their convoys
the "5th Army Express". If you have any thing like a data sheet on these Autocar
trucks from WWII I would appreciate having one.
Thanks, Tom O'Neil
