2007 WHITE TAIL DOE WITH FAWN
Kit Fox and White Tail Buck
TOWHEE, BOX TURTLE and VIXEN
FOREST DWELLERS OF PENNSYLVANIA

Racing through the woodland meadow as if
propelled by wind,
the fawn stops unafraid and poses for the camera.

Not yet having seen dog nor heard the
thunder of gun,
the fawn displays an innocent friendly curiosity.
From mother doe a warning bleating cry
tells the fawn that playtime is over for now.

Mother doe leads the fawn out of the
meadow and into the forest.

Unattended, this newly born fawn lies in
the grass.

Watching with intense curiosity, a Kit Fox
stands for its picture to be taken.

Vixen Red Fox shedding her winter coat.

Mother Doe nurses the quick growing fawn.

Mealtime over, the White Tail Fawn explores the forest.

White Tail Fawn smiles for the camera.

Only the trees can surpass the lifespan of the Box Turtle.
