IRWIN CONCRETE CALL 863 1848
WESTMORELAND COUNTY, LINCOLN HIGHWAY, PENNSYLVANIA

RECEIVED JULY 03, 2007.
Been enjoying the Autocar pictures for a few years. I'm an
old mixer driver from Florida and currently the driver training coordinator
for my division at Florida Rock Industries (soon to be Vulcan Materials). Over
the years I've developed an extensive mixer photo collection and Autocars have
always been my favorites. Couldn't sway my company from Macks though. Anyhow,
I take annual trips to the Northeast and visit concrete companies in search of
boneyards where unfortunatly many of the DC A-cars have ended up. Found lots
of them in New England and I'm finding a few in Pennsylvania. Those recent
photos from Ervin Concrete are the best looking DC's I've seen in awhile. Last
year I found Geary Enterprizes in Falls, PA just west of Scanton. They still
run two and both have the old chain driven Rex mixers. One is and honest to
god tri drive with the old Hendrickson Tri Drive suspension. Both are 1974
models and really in good shape. I seldom get to western PA which I see is
where Irvin is, but you visit so many plants, you look for new places to
explore. Anyhow keep posting Autocar pictures.
